












Exceptionally Nice Formal Eveningwear Suit or Tuxedo Dated 1935. Labelled “Benson & Rixon Co” plus the “NRA Eagle Label” inside the pocket. The quality and condition of this suit is Exceptional. No holes, tears, stains or odors. The pants were let out at the center back seam, but could easily be taken back in. Made of Quality soft black wool. The coat does have shoulder padding. The Coat Lapels are constructed of Rayon. There are 2 flap pockets, an outside breast pocket and an inside chest pocket. The single closure is done with a sewn button that has an extension to the second button & buttonhole. The black liner is in very nice condition also with the white fabric in the sleeves. The pants are button placket with suspender buttons on the inside. There are side pockets and a watch pocket on the waist. The side stripes are also done in Faille. The vest is a half vest with side straps and a slide back fastener with teeth. Also done in Faille, there are 3 self fabric buttons under the beautiful collar. The vest buttons around the back of the neck with 3 buttons making it adjustable for length. The side straps of the vest do need a few stitches and the slider needs to be reattached. The Van Heusen shirt came with the suit and is included. Cotton shirt in lovely condition, no holes, rips, or stains. Nice Collar & Pleated Front Bib with buttonholes on both sides for Studs. Wide turn up cuffs will need cufflinks. Marked a 15…34. Measurements of the garment. Shoulder: 18 across the back seam… Plus the shoulder padding extends further. Waistband is 1.5 wide. Waist: originally 32″ let out to 36″. Can easily be taken back in. Hip: 42″ – measured 9″ down from under the waistband. Front rise: 14 from top of waistband to center crotch. Back rise: 17 from top of waistband to center crotch. Outseam: 44 measured from top waistband. Bottom width of pants leg: 19 around. Side to side at bottom: 18 in front.
